Chris Jordan Joins Mumbai Indians for Remainder of IPL 2023
Chris Jordan, a fast bowler from England, has joined Mumbai Indians to fill in for the rest of IPL 2023.
Jordan was not bought at the auction in December of last year, where his starting price was set at INR 2 crore. He has played in the IPL before with Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, and Chennai Super Kings.
The 34-year-old has taken 27 wickets in 28 IPL games, with a 30.85 average and a 9.32 economy. Jordan played for Super Kings in the IPL for the last time in 2022. In four games, he took two wickets.
This season, Mumbai has had trouble with their foreign fast bowlers. Jasprit Bumrah has been out, Jhye Richardson has been ruled out, and Jofra Archer just got back from Belgium where he saw an elbow specialist. Riley Meredith took the place of Richardson, but it is still not clear who Jordan has taken the place of in the Mumbai camp.
