What Happened to Jimmy in Shameless?
People were pretty sure that Jimmy was killed off-screen by Brazilian mobsters and that was the end of his journey on the show. However, during the post-credit scene that came after the Season 4 finale, a huge surprise was revealed!
It looks like Jimmy wasn’t killed and is still alive and well. After Fiona’s big discovery that Jimmy is part of a complicated network of criminals, his life was in danger because people thought that the daughter of a South American drug lord might kill him.

But there was something else planned for the well-known person. Jimmy seemed to have come back, and Fiona met him at Patsy’s Pies.
While the actor shows up in a few episodes, the two characters only see each other for a short time. After that, they say goodbye and wish each other a good life. Even though fans wanted them to stay together, it didn’t work out.

Emmy Rossum Talks About Jimmy’s Return!
In an interview, series actress Emmy Rossum said that she told the writers and producers of the show what fans thought of Jimmy. She also said that the makers didn’t bring him back because she asked, but that she did occasionally put a bug in their ear, which surely helped the case.
But the actress said that she didn’t know about Jimmy’s surprise return. She said that the producers and writers played a joke on her by bringing him back without telling her and that it blew her mind.
Rossum also said that his storyline this year surprised her a lot, but not in a shocking way. Instead, she was surprised by how their relationship has changed and grown on the show.
