This fight started when James was said to have been given time off. Even though he started the company, he used to treat the staff badly. That meant using things like hidden cameras and a lot of other things.

After this, the board decided to take him out of his role as chairman. James wrote on his official blog that he was packing up his things and that he had no job at Project Veritas right now.
Well, this wasn’t the end, though. The board even said that the founder had used a lot of money from donors in a bad way. For the past three years, he has been doing this. What did he do wrong?
People say that he spent the money on things that had nothing to do with the business. Do you not think this was a huge mistake? Well, it is!
To be more specific about those funds, James is said to have spent $14,000 on a charter flight to meet someone who could fix his boat. He told everyone, though, that he used that money to meet a donor.

He also spent $60,000 on dance events, which cost him money. He also put more than $150,000 into the company Black Cars. It seemed like there were other wrong uses that haven’t been made public yet.

After this wrongdoing, James O’Keefe was asked to come to the meeting to talk about money and other staff issues. But he didn’t care. After that, he was kicked out of school for a few weeks.
