Swarm Show Season 2 Release Date: This week, all eight episodes of Swarm by Donald Glover were made available on Amazon Prime.
Swarm is a horror-thriller series that Atlanta authors Janine Nabers and Dominique Fishback co-created. Dominique Fishback plays Dre, a young woman who is crazy over the pop sensation Ni’Jah.
Dre appears to turn to Ni’Jah for inspiration and significance in her own life because it is rife with disconnection and abandonment. Yet, things quickly become twisted.

The SXSW tagline for the first season of Swarm was “Murder, Sex, and Music.”
Dre’s story begins with her fixation with Ni’Jah and then transitions to her life as a murderer after her sister, Marissa (Chloe Bailey), commits suicide.
When Dre’s life unravels, she responds violently to all of her difficulties. Glover himself described the project to Vanity Fair as a “post-truth Piano Teacher combined with The King of Comedy.”
A second season of Swarm would likely feature more murder and a jailbreak in addition to retaining many of the first season’s scary aspects.
The final two episodes of the first season offer contrasting perspectives on what happens to Dre. Either she is imprisoned after assaulting the stage at a Ni’Jah concert, or she is accepted by her hero, invited to sing alongside her, and then embraced in the celebrity’s personal limousine. One of these ideas appears to be more probable than the other.
Swarm Show Season 2 Release Date
We do not yet know. There may be more to tell if the creators so choose, or the show may have been designed as a limited series. As the series just debuted, we must wait till Amazon Video gets the go-ahead or declares the series is cancelled for good.
If Swarm is renewed for a second season, the show might potentially return in the spring of 2024.
The whole first season of the horror series was released on Amazon Video on March 17, 2023. Prior to its global streaming release, it will premiere on March 10 at SXSW. The series will release all seven episodes simultaneously on March 17, with each episode having a duration of approximately sixty minutes.

Swarm Show Cast
Dre, played by Dominique Fishback, serves as the series’ protagonist. Her most famous role was in Judas and the Black Messiah.
Fishback has also appeared in films such as Project Power and The Hate U Give, as well as television series such as The Deuce and Modern Love. Chloe Bailey (Grown-ish), who portrays Dre’s sister Marissa, and Damson Idris (Snowfall), who portrays Marissa’s boyfriend Khalid, join her in the cast.
The official trailer revealed a long list of guest stars, including comedian Rickey Thompson (Foursome), artist Paris Jackson (Sex Appeal), Rory Culkin (Scream 4), and Kiersey Clemons (Dope), among others (Irma Vep). Their responsibilities are yet unknown, but it is likely that their personalities will intersect with Dre’s quest.
As previously stated, Donald Glover and Janine Nabers serve as the series showrunners. Moreover, Glover has been announced as the pilot’s director.
Stephen Glover, Donald’s brother and regular collaborator, Karen Joseph Adcock (The Bear), and Malia Obama, daughter of former president Barack Obama, are among the writing staff.
Stephen Glover, Fam Udeorji, Steven Prinz, and Michael Schaefer will also serve as executive producers alongside Donald Glover and Janine Nabers.
