Scottie Pippen’s Family Album: See Photos of the NBA Icon’s Large Family, Including His Four Children With Ex-wife Larsa Pippen
It’s getting close to being enough for a basketball team! The legendary NBA player Scottie Pippen has been a part of the birth of eight children throughout the course of his career, and he routinely publishes images of his large family.
An hero of the National Basketball Association got his start in the world of parenthood in 1987, when his then-girlfriend and future wife, Karen McCollum, gave birth to their only child, Antron Pippen. Even though the pair was married a year later, their love did not last and they separated the following year in 1990. In April 2021, Scottie made the announcement that Antron had passed away at the age of 33.
“It breaks my heart to tell you that I had to say goodbye to my firstborn son, Antron, the day before yesterday. The two of us had a mutual appreciation for basketball, and throughout our friendship, we discussed the sport dozens of times, as the former player for the Chicago Bulls revealed on social media at the time. If Antron hadn’t had to deal with his severe asthma, I have no doubt in my mind that he would have been able to play in the National Basketball Association. Antron never allowed anything to bring him down and always maintained a positive attitude. He worked very hard, and I couldn’t be more proud of the guy he has become.
In 1994, Scottie brought two more children into the world, this time with model Sonya Roby. Taylor and Tyler were identical twins. Unfortunately, Tyler passed away just nine days after she was born.
Sierra was born in February 1995 to Scottie and his then-fiancée, Yvette De Leon. Two years later, Scottie tied the knot with Larsa Pippen, and the couple went on to have sons Scotty Jr. (born 2000), Preston (born 2002), and Justin (born 2005), as well as a daughter, Sophia. Scottie’s first son, Scotty Jr., was born in February 2000. (born 2008).
Scotty Jr. followed in his father’s footsteps as an athlete, excelling as a basketball player at Vanderbilt University in Nashville before going on to earn his first contract with the NBA in June of 2022. During that month, the Los Angeles Lakers added two sons of basketball greats to their roster. Shareef O’Neal, son of Shaquille O’Neal, and Scotty Jr., son of Scotty O’Neal, both joined the team.
In September of 2022, Scottie expressed to People that she was “extremely proud of him.” “On the court, as his father, I am unable to continue to serve as his leader or mentor. I eventually spread my own wings and flew away, and I expect that he will do the same.
The Lakers star told the site that he was “just used to people always demanding pictures and autographs from him,” which meant that he has been exposed to the practise his entire life. “However, even when I was still in school, we communicated on a daily basis. He came to every one of my games.

Taylor, Scottie’s daughter, added a sarcastic text to a photo that she posted in 2017 in which she posed with a statue of her father. The statue was of Scottie. She ended the letter with the phrase, “Good seeing you Pops.”
