MS Dhoni’s new look makes Twitter go Crazy

MS Dhoni was seen sporting a bearded look that sent his fans and social media into a tizzy.

MS Dhoni fans and other social media users were in for a surprise when Dhoni was sighted, sporting a salt-and-pepper beard in Ziva Dhoni’s Instagram video.

While many Indian cricketers have been on a social media spree during the ongoing nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, former India captain MS Dhoni has rarely made an appearance.

As soon as the video released on Instagram, India’s World Cup-winning skipper’s bearded look soon became the talk of the town on social media. While some took it as an opportunity to flex their creative muscle and shared memes on the same, some fans got pretty nostalgic on the legendary cricketer’s journey.

Dhoni, 38, has not appeared for club or country since last year’s 50-over World Cup and the coronavirus lockdown in the country could threaten his chances of getting back into the national team. It is being speculated that Dhoni might retire from international cricket.

Though, he is still the captain of IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings and the former Indian skipper was all set to lead his team in the 13th edition of the IPL, which was originally scheduled to start on March 29. However, the cash-rich league was earlier postponed to April 15, before being postponed indefinitely due to the extension of the nationwide lockdown.

Despite all the speculations going on about his retirement, the Indian superstar, who gave up Test cricket in 2014, and has been on a  sabbatical from the game ever since Team India’s heart-breaking World Cup 2019 semi-final loss against New Zealand last year, has not commented on his plans about his future in international cricket.

We sincerely wish that we get to see more thrilling and entertaining cricketing performances of this legendary player in the near future.
