Interest in the Bobby Clarke Loan is Observed as Liverpool Considers January Deals
One of the young Liverpool players who drew notice in Dubai was Bobby Clarke, and the club may soon put up rental proposals for the 17-year-old player.
Since the Reds have played Lyon and Milan in two friendly matches this month, Clarke has been a noticeable figure. He played for 57 minutes total throughout both of those games.
During the closing stages of Friday’s match against Milan in Dubai, the young player made a wonderful pass to Darwin Nunez, which increased the score to 4-1 and earned the admiration of Jurgen Klopp. Potential suitors are keeping an eye on the fourth round of the League Cup match between Liverpool and Manchester City because there is a chance that the player, who came up through the youth system at Newcastle, would be used by Liverpool.
There are “clubs who want to recruit him on loan when the January window for business opens,” as stated by Lee Ryder of Chronicle Live in a piece about Clark’s exit from Tyneside in 2021. The article was published in response to the speculation that Clark would leave the club.
One of the teams that is “watching out” for them is Preston, which is now ranked sixth in the championship and has Ryan Lowe, a former young player for Liverpool, as its manager.
On the other hand, it has been asserted that Clarke is “most likely to stay” at Anfield rather than moving on to play in the Football League in order to get more experience.
Given how swiftly he broke into Klopp’s first team squad, it would not be surprise if Liverpool received bids for number 42 during the month of December. However, stepping up to the top level of the Championship can appear to be too much of a challenge for a player who is still actively competing in the under-21 group.
There are presently 17 players on loan from Liverpool, and while some of them, like Tyler Morton, Conor Bradley, and James Balagisi, have been successful, others have struggled and seen their development come to a standstill.
After an impressive season the year before, Owen Beck was thought to be one of the top players in the academy. However, he has not been able to establish himself at Bolton thus far.
It is possible to say the same thing about Billy Kumetio, who, after falling out of favour with Austria Wien, is currently back in training on Merseyside during the winter break.
At the very least, Kumetio is an option for an early return in the month of January.
