Goblin Slayer is an anime series based on Kumo Kagyu’s and Noboru Kannatuki’s light novels of the same name. The second season of the anime TV series was announced on January 31, 2021, at the GA FES 2021.
It was revealed in the first season of the anime series Goblin Slayer that its protagonist, known simply as “Goblin Slayer,” had witnessed his family being killed at the hands of goblins and has dedicated his life to hunting and murdering as many goblins as he can. To take on a band of goblins led by the supernaturally brilliant Goblin Lord, Goblin Slayer recruits a motley squad including a human rookie adventurer named Priestess, a High Elf Archer, a Dwarf Shaman, and a Lizard Priest. The first and second volumes of Kagyu and Kannatsuki’s series were used as a basis for Goblin Slayer season 1, but there is still plenty of material to pull from.
The Second Season of Goblin Slayer Has Been Confirmed, but When Will It Air, and What Will the Plot Be About?
The series is based on the same-titled light novels by Kumo Kagyu and Noboru Kannatsuki. In Japan, the series has been published in 15 volumes thus far. Goblin Slayer Volume 14 will be released on August 23rd, 2022, while the 15th volume has yet to be released.
The English translation is still behind. Crunchyroll streamed the first season of Goblin Slayer in 2018, a White Fox-produced anime series. The Adventurer’s Guild, a dark fantasy organisation, assigns monster-killing quests to people known as “adventurers” in exchange for wealth and glory.
No Release Date Has Been Set for Goblin Slayer Season 2
GA FES 2021, a Livestream event hosted by Goblin Slayer light novel publishing business GA Bunko in January 2021, officially stated that season 2 of Goblin Slayer was in the works. Season 2 of GA Bunko has also posted a promotional poster on Twitter and a teaser trailer on YouTube, although the studios have not yet announced a release date.
When it comes to Goblin Slayer, Season 1, the announcement was made in early 2018. However, the series was published later in 2018. It typically takes six to twelve months from the time of announcement until the time of release. As a result, the production schedule for Goblin Slayer season 2 has already been overshot. The next part in the series is expected to be released sometime in 2022, with estimates ranging from July to September. The COVID-19 pandemic’s unpredictable nature makes it impossible to predict when Goblin Slayer season 2 will be released.
Season 2 of Goblin Slayer: Story Details
Slaying the Goblins
Neither the plot nor the release date for Goblin Slayer season 2 has been announced, but based on the first season and the Goblin Slayer film, it is reasonable to guess where the second season will go thematically. The first two volumes of the Goblin Slayer light novel series were covered in Season 1, while Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown adapted the fifth volume. As a result, Goblin Slayer season 2 is expected to adapt events from the light novel series volumes 3-4 and potentially book 6.
Season 2 of Goblin Slayer Has Been Announced and Is Set to Be Released
Goblin Slayer will return for a second season on Syfy. On the 15th anniversary of GA Bunko, it was announced that an anime was in the works.
After this announcement, there has been no further information about the release date. One year after the announcement, the anime is probably nearing its end. The release date is expected to be around the end of this year, according to our best guesses.
Season 2 of Goblin Slayer Is Now Available to Stream on Netflix
The anime series Goblin Slayer can be viewed online.
Goblin Slayer Season 1 is available on Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Amazon Prime Video before Season 2 begins. Netflix or Hulu in the United States has not yet broadcast it.
Plot Line of Goblin Slayer
Noboru Kannatsuki and Kumo Kagyu wrote the novels titled Global Slayer. For the first time, Crunchyroll broadcast the anime series, which was produced by White Fox and debuted internationally in 2018. There is a gloomy fantasy universe interlaced with creatures throughout the show. Those who live in this realm are known as “adventurers,” and they go on quests to kill monsters. In addition, the Adventurer’s Guild is behind these quests.
It will also be continued in Season 2, which will adapt all the events that follow Season 1’s storyline.
This Season’s Goblin Slayer!
As far as we can tell, the primary cast of GOBLIN SLAYER! will remain largely unchanged. For the most part, the core cast of characters will remain unaltered until the end of the story (of the first series, at least). Since this is an unwritten law in modern-day anime adaptations, we believe that the primary voice cast will not just return for the second season, but all future seasons as well.
Most of the names on the following list are expected to return in future seasons of GOBLIN SLAYER!:
- Casting Call for Maaya Uchida in Role of Guild Girl

- Inspector Hioka is played by Natsumi Hioka
- Master of the Sword Haruka Tomatsu
