On his 93rd birthday, he got married to his partner, Dr. Anca Faur, who was 63 years old.
The man who used to be a pilot and an engineer said that he and his new wife were as happy as “teenagers who ran away.” He also posted photos from their wedding in Los Angeles on his social media accounts.
Aldrin tweeted, “I’m happy to say that my longtime love, Dr. Anca Faur, and I got married.”
Dr. Faur is the Vice President of Buzz Aldrin Ventures. He has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering.
She has worked for Union Carbide and Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells in the past. In 2019, she was named Vice President at Buzz Aldrin’s company.

Buzz Aldrin has been married four times, and his first wife is the mother of three of his children.
On December 29, 1954, he got married to Joan Archer. He stayed with her for 20 years and had three children with her: James, Janice, and Andrew Aldrin. Beverly Van Zile was Aldren’s second wife. He married her on December 31, 1975. In 1978, after three years of marriage, they split up.
In the same way, he married Lois Driggs Cannon for the third time. They got married on February 14, 1988, and split up in December 2012.
Aldrin’s daughter Janice gave birth to a grandson named Jeffrey Schuss. He also has Nathaniel, Benjamin, and Archer as great-grandsons and Kaia Nicole as a great-granddaughter. Edwin Eugene Aldrin Jr. was born to Marion Aldrin (nee Moon) and Edwin Eugene Aldrin Sr. in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, in the United States.
During World War I, Edwin Sr. was an Army pilot. From 1919 to 1922, he was the assistant commandant of the test pilot school at McCook Field, Ohio. He finally left the Army in 1928 and went to work for Standard Oil as an Executive.
Aldrin had two older sisters: Madeleine and Fay Ann. His nickname, which became his legal first name in 1988, was “Buzz,” which came about because Fay used to say “brother” wrong and say “buzzer” instead.
In 1951, he got a degree in mechanical engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Aldrin got a Doctor of Science degree in astronautics from MIT. He was the first astronaut in NASA to have a doctoral degree.
