Brent Faiyaz is an R&B singer and songwriter from Columbia, Maryland, who was born in the United States. He first got noticed when he was in a band called Sonder.
Then, in 2016, Brent became famous when he recorded his single “Crew” with Shy Glizzy, which was certified 5 Platinum by the RIAA. On top of that, the song got Brent, Goldink, and Shy Gizzy nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category.

Christopher Brent Wood was born on September 19, 1995, and he grew up in Columbia, Maryland. He was young when he became interested in music, but his parents wouldn’t let him pursue it.

The Career of Brent Faiyaz
As we’ve already said, Brent began making music when he was 12 years old. In 2014, he came up with and put up on SoundCloud his Black Child EP of experimental music.
Around this time, Faiyaz and his family moved to Los Angeles, where he started to take his music career more seriously.
Brent’s first single, called “Allure,” came out on January 19, 2015. After that, he put out the lead single from his first EP, Invite Me. When he turned 21 in September 2016, his first EP, A. M. Paradox, came out.
With the release of that EP, the singer got a lot of attention in the industry, and the EP got good reviews from critics.
After that, in October 2016, Brent joined forces with record producers Atu and Dapat to form a music group called Sonder. The group’s first single, Too Fast, came out in the same month.
Brent’s career took a big turn at the end of 2016 when he was on a song by rapper GoldLink called “Crew.” After this song came out, he became very well-known all over the world.
He also got a Grammy nomination for the song, along with Shy Gizzy and GoldLink.

Early in 2017, the music group Sonder Son put out their first EP, called “Into.” Duplion was named the Artist of the Month for January 2017. The EP was ranked 23rd on The Complex’s list of the best albums of 2017 in June of that year (So Far).
Faiyaz’s hit music got the attention of big-name artists, and in March 2019, Juice Wrld asked him to be a guest on his hit single Demonz. Brent’s second EP, “Fu#k the World,” came out the following year. It was a huge hit and peaked at number 20 on the US Billboard 200.

Then he put out another single called “Dead Man Walking,” and in 2021, he put out “Gravity.” His single Dead Man Walking came out a day before he turned 25 in the middle of 2020. Brent released a new song called “Circles” in February of that year, and the official music video for it was later posted on YouTube.
