Best Medium Shows on TV Today

We live in a world of options. No matter what you choose you will always find options whether it is food, sports, entertainment and even television. Today, you can press a remote button to scroll through a variety of TV shows based on what you want to see. If you are one of those who love shows about the medium you can find plenty of choices. Many TV shows focus on how the medium help people to communicate with the spirits of the deceased people. While some shows are reality TV some are purely fictional stories that have characters that are a psychic medium.

If you love such medium shows, you can certainly look forward to these shows that offer the right entertainment on television.

The InBetween (2019)

This freshman drama by creator and executive producer Moira Kirkland didn’t get the best reception and renewal for the second season on NBC, but it certainly provides great entertainment for those who are looking for content with a dash of supernatural. The show’s central figure, Cassie Bishop (Harriet Dyer) is a Seattle medium and sometimes she feels like her gift is a curse as the local police regularly approach her to provide help to unsettled souls find peace. The crux of the plot is all about how she goes about solving those cases while battling her own demons.

Ghost Whisperer (2005 – 2010)

Another supernatural sitcom that you can enjoy on television these days is Ghost Whisperer which originally ran on CBS. The series follows Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt) who can see and communicate with ghosts. While she has her challenges initially communicating she along with her best friend Andrea helps earthbound spirits to find peace and cross over. The show also won Jennifer Love Hewitt a Saturn Award for Best Actress in a Television Program. Legacy Interactive also developed a video game based on the show in a licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products.

Spiritual House (2017)

It is hard to say why some people see ghosts. However, if you are looking for some reality TV you would want to look for Spiritual House which is currently available on Netflix. The show focuses on psychic Hiroyuki Ehara who guides various celebrities through spiritual consultations, highlighting their successes and revealing some of their inside issues and offering solutions. This Japanese-language show has five episodes where some of the top Japanese celebrities like Kazuhiro Kiyohara, Noriko Sakai, Moe Oshikiri, Homare Sawa and Mariko Hayashi made their appearance.

Medium (2005 – 2011)

People are fascinated with the concept of supernatural fiction. If you are one of them you can look for an American supernatural drama that would include a medium as the main character is Medium which originally aired on NBC and later on CBS. The series stars Patricia Arquette as Allison DuBois, a medium hired as a consultant for Phoenix, Arizona’s DA’s office in the fictional Mariposa County. The show was based on the experiences of the real Allison DuBois who claims to have worked with law enforcement agencies resolving criminal investigations. Created by Glenn Gordon Caron, this show always had consistent audience viewership and has been one of the best medium shows on television.

Deadbeat (2014 – 2016)

If you are looking for a nice comedy that also has a hint of supernatural then Deadbeat would be a great option. Originally aired on ABC, Deadbeat focuses on Kevin Pacalioglu (Tyler Labine) also known as Pac who is a lazy person but also a medium for hire. However, along with his friend and drug peddler Roofie, Pac goes on to resolve many unresolved problems of ghosts to help them find peace. Created by Cody Heller and Brett Konner, Deadbeat focuses on the bizarre and ensures plenty of comedy that would keep the audience laughing.
