14 February Black Day for India: Four years ago on February 14, 2019, forty members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in a terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.
The terrible occurrence occurred when a truck carrying explosives collided with a CRPF convoy. As it was one of the bloodiest attacks on Indian security forces to date, the 14th of February is now commemorated as “Black Day.”
What Happened on February 14, 2019, in India?
A convoy of 78 cars carrying more than 2500 CRPF men had left Jammu and was on its route to Srinagar via National Highway (NH44) before sunset. Adil Ahmad Dar, a 22-year-old suicide bomber, slammed his explosives-laden truck into the soldier’s bus.
The attack, which was reported near Awantipora at approximately 3:15 p.m., resulted in the deaths of forty CRPF soldiers and the hospitalisation of many others.
A member of the suicide bomber’s family reported that he was jailed more than five times over the course of two years for stone-throwing and purported affiliations to terrorist organisations. His family last saw him in 2018 when he fled his house.

Jaish-e-Mohammed, a Pakistan-based terrorist organisation, has claimed responsibility for the attack. Since then, the Army has eliminated the module’s principal conspirators.
Along with the Jammu and Kashmir police, the central government constituted a 12-member National Investigation Agency team to investigate the Pulwama attack. The inquiry revealed that the suicide bomber was carrying approximately 300 kilogrammes of explosives.
As a result of the Pulwama Attack
State funerals were organised across the country to pay honour to the fallen warriors. The demonstration and candlelight march were cancelled. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs blamed Pakistan for the attack, although Pakistan denied responsibility.
The Indian government then decided to revoke Pakistan’s Most Favored Nation (MFN) status.

Additionally, the Indian government pushed the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to include Pakistan on its blacklist. A group of Indian physicians cancelled their trip to Pakistan for the thirteenth Association of Anaesthesiologists Congress.

Is Pakistani Claimed Guilt for the Pulwama Terrorist Assault in India?
An extremely high-ranking Pakistani official claimed guilt for the Pulwama terrorist assault in India in October 2020. Meanwhile, India and Pakistan’s tensions rose to dangerous levels.
According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the security forces are free to respond to the Pulwama terror attack whenever, wherever, and whatever they see fit. The Indian government responded by bombing a JeM training facility.
Indian security forces launched a counter-terror strike on February 26, 2019, just days after the fatal attack. Nearly 500 terrorists were killed when Indian Air Force jets targeted Jaish bases in Balakot.

In recognition of his bravery, he was awarded India’s third-highest wartime heroism medal, the Vir Chakra, and released on March 1.
