The fifteenth season of The Dead Files is now in progress, but regrettably, viewers have lost the final member of the original cast, Amy Allan.

What Led Amy Allan to Leave ‘The Dead Files’?

The Travel Channel made an announcement on April 21, 2023, regarding the reintroduction of The Dead Files. However, the network also disclosed that Amy Allan, a longstanding host, will be departing midway through the 15th season to take a “personal break.”

“This season signifies a notable transition as it says a moving goodbye to Amy Allan, a committed collaborator to [Steve] DiSchiavi for more than 200 episodes,” the network stated in a press release. Allan, being a talented physical comedian, has been an essential member of the crew since the show began in 2011.

After years of dedicating himself to this demanding task, Allan will be retiring for a personal respite, transferring the responsibility to fellow psychic medium Cindy Kaza, who will continue to assist in resolving cases of unexplained paranormal events alongside DiSchiavi, according to the network.

Following the Season 15 premiere of The Dead Files, the medium used Instagram to discuss her resignation. When a reader in the comment area inquired about Amy’s future plans, she replied:

“I am dedicating a year to achieving good health!” I am currently enjoying my online store, undergoing a massage school refresher, facilitating several courses, and even hosting a spooky weekend or two.

Who Replaced Amy Allen on ‘The Dead Files’?

Why Did Amy Allan Leave Dead Files

Within the press statement, the Travel Channel disclosed that Amy would be succeeded by psychic medium Cindy Kaza.

On her official website, Cindy is described as having possessed exceptional intuitive abilities from a very young age.

Her initial encounter with a spirit occurred when she was 10 years old, when she awoke during the night to find her deceased friend, who had died in a car accident a few days before, standing beside her bed. Cindy rationalized to herself that it was all a dream.

It was not until her early twenties that she became aware of her ongoing psychic and mediumistic encounters.

As part of this process of “waking,” she initiated a quest for explanations and rationales for her experiences and gained insight into her diverse capabilities as a psychic medium,” the website said.

Since 2018, Cindy has appeared in several television series, including The Holzer Files, Ghosts of Devil’s Perch, Ghosts of Flight 401, Scream: The True Story, Ed Gein: The Real Psycho, The Curse of Robert the Doll, Conjuring Kesha, Portals to Hell, Ghost Brothers, Fright Club, Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour, Jack and Kelly: Night of Terror, and Below Deck.
