Who Killed Travis in Yellowjackets?
Fans of Yellowjackets have had two years to formulate their most plausible theories regarding which characters could have murdered Travis, assuming he was murdered at all. Due to the show’s reputation for suspense-inducing plot twists, fans were thrilled when Season 2, Episode 2 eventually revealed the truth about his death.
Lottie (Simone Kessell) recounts the circumstances surrounding Travis’s death to Natalie (Juliette Lewis’s Instagram account) at her commune, because — surprise! she was there. Lottie claims that Travis initially contacted her in the middle of the night.
He was in the midst of a panic attack, and she responded by going to his house out of concern that he would hurt himself. When Lottie reached Travis, she was able to soothe him down, but she remained with him throughout the night to ensure his safety.
Lottie regrettably informs Natalie that she fell unconscious. Travis had vanished with his vehicle to the ranch where he worked by the time she awoke. He penned the note Nat discovers in Season 1 that reads, “Tell Nat she was right,” and instructs Lottie on how to break into his bank account if his plans fail.
When Lottie arrives at Travis’ workplace, he has candles bearing the wilderness symbol strewn about him, as well as a crane rigged to suspend himself in midair draped around his neck.
