An Explanation of Cassandra Nova’s Dark Marvel Origin
Remarkably, Cassandra Nova may have had the most sinister beginning of any MCU villain. Though the two were technically siblings, they did not grow up together because Nova is Professor Charles Xavier’s evil twin, who tried to kill him in utero and was killed in the process, only to be reborn in a different body and vow vengeance.
Thanos may have a legitimate claim to the planet because he lost it all. She is basically a demon, the embodiment of what the Shi’ar people of Marvel refer to as a Mummudrai, or an astral “shadow self” that all individuals possess.
According to Marvel mythology, the “Mummudrai” are parasites that are basically the complete opposite of their “twin,” emerging in the womb and starting a power battle. As an identical replica of Charles Xavier’s DNA with her own body, Nova made her debut as the “twin” of the unborn child.
He killed her before she could be born because he sensed her evil, which resulted in one of the most memorable and outrageous Marvel comics panels ever.
After surviving the fetal struggle and obtaining a new host body, Nova embarked on a quest for vengeance, believing that killing Charles Xavier would be essential to her takeover of the universe.
This directly resulted in her influencing Donald Trask III to carry out the Genosha genocide in the “E Is For Extinction” story cycle, which instantly wiped off 16 million mutants.
The Amazing Powers of Cassandra Nova Explained
The scope of Nova’s abilities is demonstrated repeatedly in Deadpool & Wolverine, where she skillfully uses telekinesis to fend off Hugh Jackman’s berserker and removes the Human Torch’s skin with a wave of her hand.
Nova has the same amazing powers as Professor X, but with more to offer than his skill set. Although it’s implied that she and her party leave offerings for the beast to avoid having to meet it head-on, she is also strong enough that Loki’s temporal monster, Alioth, hasn’t been able to defeat her.
