The Writers of Saturday Night Live Are Debating Not Airing Dave Chappelle.

It has been reported that several of the writers employed by Saturday Night Live are considering skipping the upcoming episode of the show because it has been officially confirmed that Dave Chappelle would be hosting.

The comedic superstar, who will co-host the show for the third time on November 12 with musical guest Black Star, has been accused of making homophobic and transphobic comments in the past. Black Star will be the musical guest on the show.

Chappelle’s SNL controversy

An insider revealed to Page Six that the individuals in question would not be participating in the show. However, none of the performers are participating in the boycott.

Chapelle was present in a Tuesday meeting with the show’s writers and producers, and his spokesperson has denied that there was any form of discontent at the gathering.

“The room was jam-packed with authors. They each presented their ideas, and it appeared that they were really excited about it. Dave is in the mood to let loose and have some fun.”

Meanwhile, after it was announced that Chappelle will be hosting this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live, writer Celeste Yim turned to Instagram to lash out at people who have a bias against transgender people.
