The Producers Promise to Keep James Bond “Fresh” With a New 007 Who Will “Serve the King and Country.”

According to long-time producer Barbara Broccoli, conversations with new 007 studio owner Amazon about the spy film franchise’s future direction have not actually begun, despite the fact that the next James Bond will serve both the king and his country. Broccoli made this statement on Wednesday.

After having their handprints imprinted in cement at Hollywood’s famous TCL Chinese Theatre, Broccoli and her half-brother Michael G. Wilson sat down with AFP to discuss the future of the Harry Potter film franchise, which currently consists of 25 films. Broccoli is the producer of the Harry Potter films.

Daniel Craig’s run as James Bond came to an end with the release of 2021’s No Time to Die, and since then, Amazon has acquired MGM, the production company behind the 007 films. “He is not involved in it for the purpose of gaining something for himself. His motivation is to work toward making the world a better and safer place. Therefore, I do not believe that is anything that we would ever consider changing.

On the other hand, Broccoli stated that their father “always tried to give us the confidence to take risks so that Bond can change over the years.”

She continued by saying, “We like to mix things up, and sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t — but it keeps it fresh.”

The Broccoli family’s company, Eon, has a significant amount of creative influence over the James Bond film franchise, which was adapted from Ian Fleming’s novels in the beginning.

Since the release of GoldenEye in 1995, one year before the death of Barbara’s father, Barbara and her half-brother Michael have presided over the production of the films in the series.

Eon and the historic studio MGM, which had the right to fund and distribute the 007 films, entered into a complicated partnership that provided for a profit-sharing arrangement.
