On Friday, September 15, 2023, the original trio, consisting of Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena, and Keisha Buchanan, will perform at the O2 in London.
This next Friday, December 2, at 10:00 GMT, tickets will be available for purchase; you can do so on this website. Additionally, the limited presale begins on Wednesday, November 30 at nine in the morning GMT.
Following a string of comeback festival appearances this summer, including a packed slot at Glastonbury, which will be the band’s second live performance in more than 20 years, the show will be the largest ever put on by a British girl band. Buchanan commented on the monumental comeback performance that took place in front of a large crowd on the intimate stage of the Avalon. “We were so nervous coming out here today, and I don’t know why, because you’re not scary,” she stated to the audience at the time. “I am aware that breaking out of the solitude and doing all of that was a stupid move. And I believe that I am saying this to say that there are highs and lows in life, but there is one thing that is certain, and that is that it is simply the season. Will it happen anyhow, and no matter what, you will always have to fight your way through.”
“We know the Sugababes story doesn’t end there: they are already booking places at festivals for next summer, where the show will kill,” the NME wrote in a five-star review of the band’s performance in London earlier this month. The review was written in reference to the band’s comeback, which was described as “triumphant.” No matter what happens from here on out, however, it appears that the band’s original lineup has successfully and completely revived its legacy.
The Neighborhood Weekender, the Isle of Wight Festival, and the Wilderness Festival are currently on the festival lineup for next summer and are set to take place.
