Before announcing their divorce in March 2023, the couple had been married for more than a decade.

They further stated, “As we traverse this new chapter, our son and our entire family are our top priorities. These issues are seldom simple and are highly personal. We appreciate everyone’s consideration for the privacy of our family at this time.”
A source informed People that “They truly are the greatest of friends, and this choice is so amicable. They are extremely committed to co-parenting. They are committed to their entire family and to making this transition as easy as possible for all parties.”
Toth, who is not a Hollywood celebrity, moves in the same circles as Witherspoon and, according to Heavy, represents a number of A-list actors, including Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey.

On CAA’s official website, Toth is the co-head of the motion picture talent department of Creative Artists Agency, a major company in film packaging and distribution arrangements.
According to reports, Witherspoon was always drawn to the fact that Toth did not come from the same circle of prominence.
In 2010, a source told People, “She appreciates that he is not a celebrity.” They were left alone to get to know each other in a more intimate setting.
He first encountered Witherspoon at a party.
Toth first met Witherspoon at a house party, where he saved her from an extremely drunk man — one of Toth’s pals — according to a 2012 interview with ELLE.
“That occurred unexpectedly,” Witherspoon recalled. “This extremely intoxicated man was sexually harassing me while acting like a fool and cursing at me. He was like, “You don’t know me” [slurring, scowling, pointing finger in her face]. And I responded, ‘Yes, I understand. I don’t recognize you!”

Some months later, in March 2011, they got married on their private ranch in California. Daughter Ava Phillippe served as the maid of honor, and son Deacon Phillippe was the ring bearer, both of whom are Witherspoon’s children from her previous marriage to Ryan Phillippe.
