Alexander Plunket Greene, the grandson of Irish musician Harry Plunket Greene, became Quant’s future spouse and business partner in 1953.

Orlando was born in 1970 and is the only child of Quant and her sole spouse Alexander Plunket Greene.

He is currently 53 years old and has three offspring, the grandchildren of Mary and Alexander. However, he never had the opportunity to meet his grandson.

The cause of death of Orlando’s father, who died in 1990 at the age of 57, was excessive alcohol consumption.

The Scotsman reports that Mary’s son now resides away from the public eye and works in computer marketing.

However, he has been photographed numerous times publicly supporting his mother.

The 53-year-old stepped out in London during London Fashion Week in 2019 to unveil a plaque commemorating his mother’s first store on King’s Road.

Mary was the shop’s buyer when Alexander launched Bazaar in Chelsea, but she soon began selling her own designs.

In 2021, Orlando also attended a screening of Quant at The Everyman Chelsea with his three adolescent children.

The documentary traces the icon’s life from his days as a fashion-conscious woman growing up in rural Wales to his days as a daring designer.
