Listen to an Excerpt From Lewis Capaldi’s New Single “Pointless”.
Listen to a clip from the new song “Pointless” that Lewis Capaldi has provided as a sneak peek, and he has confirmed that the full version will be released the following week.
After his comeback single “Forget Me,” Capaldi is planning to release “Pointless” on the following Friday, December 2, and it will serve as the second preview of his upcoming album “Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.”
You may pre-order or save the follow-up album to The Scotsman’s 2019 debut album, “Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent,” which will be published on EMI Records on May 19, 2023. The album can be saved or pre-ordered here.
Earlier on in this year, “Forget Me” was made available for purchase, and it was accompanied by a music video that recreated the Wham clip! “Club Tropicana” with each individual frame.
The song “Pointless” is a love song, and the lyrics to it are as follows: “When everything is meaningless, there is one person who makes it all worthwhile.” This was featured in an Instagram post.
Below is a tape of Capaldi singing the track while accompanied just by a piano. You can listen to a preview of the studio version above.
The song is presented once again in the third music video, which also includes footage of Peter Capaldi hugging a cardboard cutout of Ed Sheeran. This past week, the song “Someone You Loved” from 2018 by Capaldi became the song that has been heard to the most in the UK of all time, surpassing Ed Sheeran’s previous record.
Previous statements made by the singer and composer about his next album include the following: “I felt like I sounded better since I was just relaxing on my own boat hook.” Additionally, TMS, Phil Plested, Nick Atkinson, and Ed Holloway, with whom I collaborated on the production of the first recording, were responsible for the majority of the work on this recording. At least one of these can be heard in an overwhelming majority of songs.
He went on to say, “I don’t want to give myself a new sound or reinvent myself.” Emotional songs, perhaps about love or sorrow, are the kind of music I aspire to write.
Capaldi has also revealed that he will go on an extensive tour of the United Kingdom and Europe in 2023. The tour will begin on January 14, 2023, at the Leeds Direct Arena, and will continue on to include concerts in Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Cardiff, and Exeter.
