Nowadays, many media outlets are flooded with arguing over Rory’s romances. They all are complaining about either Team Dean, Jess, or Logan. For many years, the most heart-wrenching love story of “Gilmore Girls” films is of two other characters: Lane Kim and Dave Rygalski.
Throughout the episodes of “Gilmore Girls,” the fan-favorite duo started dating in season 3. Later on, the couple was forced to separate because of Adam Brody who portrayed the role of Dave so they left the show on Star Fox’s The O.C. Lane, which was performed by Keiko Agena.
He eventually falls in love with another bandmate Zack (Todd Lowe). In season 7, they welcomed two named Kwan and Steve. As per the perspective of Agena, the love story of Lane and Dav would end differently only if the show were still airing today.
During an interview, Agena revealed her beliefs that Lane and Dave would have eventually reconnected, and her statements surged the speculations and whispers on digital forums as everybody is so curious to know.
She told the media outlets, “She was, I think she would be pretty above board. But I think there is some lovelorn, heartsickness over that relationship. Maybe some daydreams. I don’t know that she would ever act on anything, but a friendship for sure.”
Fans of “Gilmore Girls” have a strong desire for a Dave and Lane reunion. She also expressed her hopes for Lane’s marriage to Zack. She said, “Because she was such a fan of music, in my mind, I always craved more out-of-Connecticut interaction for her.”
As per the gripping narrative of the series, Agena disclosed that Lane is currently writing really bad fantasy fanfiction. She explored the world and provoked thoughts on a concept album that [musician] Bjork somehow got involved with,” before Lane became an international star.
Agena expressed her enthusiasm about potentially returning to Gilmore Girls if the series were revived, citing its dedicated fanbase during its original run from 2000 to 2007. She credited Amy Sherman-Palladino, the show’s creator, for inspiring the ensemble cast, which featured Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham in the roles of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, the beloved mother-daughter duo.
Agena explains, “Amy’s so talented that if she was excited about an idea and if she had a way that she wanted to tell some of these stories if people were available, I think everyone would be interested in finding where these characters are now.”
Most of the cast characters returned in the “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” which premiered in November 2016 almost 10 years after the original series debuted.
