“Kyle was a deeply admired member of our production team – and a highly accomplished one, having won two Sports Emmy Awards while working a wide range of sports from baseball and basketball to Monday Night Football and college football,” ESPN said in a statement on Sunday. His death’s cause has not been disclosed.
According to USA Today, Brown is survived by his wife, Megan, and their four children: Makayla, 14, Carson, 11, Camden, 9, and Madyn, 6. He was honored by ESPN prior to coverage of Sunday’s Super regional game, with anchor Kris Budden announcing his death.
“Kyle cherished the opportunities to have a career in sports,” said Budden. “His ESPN family extends our profound condolences and unwavering support to Kyle’s family and friends… Kyle will be missed immensely.”
