Is Jack Wood Related To Wood Brothers?
Jackson R. Wood was born on August 7, 2000, and he is an American stock car racing driver who makes a living at it.
In the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, he drives the No. 51 Chevrolet Silverado for Kyle Busch Motorsports. In the ARCA Menards Series, he drives the No. 6 Chevrolet SS for Rev Racing.
Wood will join GMS Racing in 2021 to race full-time in the ARCA Menards Series and Sioux Chief Showdown events in the main ARCA Menards Series.
On November 2, 2020, he will replace champion Sam Mayer in the team’s No. 21 car, which means he will be a part of Drivers Edge Development, the team’s program for developing drivers.
Wood and his GMS No. 21 car decided to enter the first two races in the main ARCA Menards Series and skip the second race in the East Series. This showed that they would run full-time in the main ARCA Menards Series instead of the East Series.
Rev Racing, which won the ARCA Menards Series title with Nick Sanchez last year, has announced the drivers for the first race of the season, the BRANDT 200.
ARCA Series 2023
Jack Wood said something like, “I’m really excited to return to the ARCA Menards Series in 2023 as a part-time driver with Rev Racing. Having more seat time will give me a chance to keep learning and improving my skills.
Some weekends, I’ll be racing both ARCA and Trucks, and I’ll be able to use what I learned in ARCA in Trucks. Rev just had a great season, and I can’t wait to get on the track with him and show what we’ve got!”
Jack Wood will drive the No. 51 Eberlestock Chevrolet in the NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona International Speedway on Friday night. This will be his first race with Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM). This year, Wood will race in 13 races.
He will share the No. 51 car with Kyle Busch, who owns and drives for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM), and other drivers have yet to be named.
In 2021, the 22-year-old racer finished ninth in his first ARCA Menards Series race at Daytona. In eight races that year, he finished in the top five once and in the top 10 four times. In May 2021, he was moved up to the Truck Series.
In 12 of the last 13 races, he finished in the top ten once and in the top 15 three times. He went back to racing full-time in the Truck Series in 2022 and finished third in the Sunoco Rookie Champion of the Year standings.

The older Wood went on to win four races in the new NASCAR series and was named one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers.
Wood stopped driving at the end of the 1964 season. In the eight years before 1965, the team had hired a number of other drivers. In 1965, Glen became the only owner.
Twenty of NASCAR’s best drivers have come from Wood Brothers Racing. Curtis Turner, Tiny Lund, Fireball Roberts, Bob Welborn, Dale Jarrett, A.J. Foyt, Glen Wood, Buddy Baker, Marvin Panch, and other well-known racers.

NASCAR’s oldest team, Wood Brothers Racing, was started by Glen Wood in 1950. They’ve competed in nearly 1,600 races and won 99 of them.
Some other famous drivers who have driven a Wood Brothers car are Junior Johnson, Cale Yarborough, and David Pearson.
The third generation is now very interested in continuing the family tradition and helping race teams by volunteering. Jordan Wood and Jon Wood, who used to race in NASCAR, work together on marketing, business development, and social media.
The two love talking to fans on the team’s social media platforms all the time. Keven Wood and the rest of the crew work together to make sure the 21 is ready to race on Sunday.
