Kellie Chauvin asked Derek Chauvin for a divorce on May 28, 2020, three days after George Floyd died in a horrible way. The former Mrs. Minnesota said that they broke up because their relationship had “irreparably broken down.” They were married for 10 years.
According to court documents obtained by The Sun, Kellie said in a court filing that she doesn’t want any money or financial help from her ex-cop, even though she is unemployed and an estate agent. In the filing, it says, “The respondent is fully capable of taking care of herself.”
