In the “Clasico” Against Real Madrid, Barcelona’s Jersey Will Include Drake’s Owl Logo.

In the first “clasico” of the new season in the Spanish league, which will take place on Sunday between Barcelona and Real Madrid, the players for Barcelona will wear the owl-shaped insignia of Canadian rapper Drake on their shirts.

It was announced on Friday that Barcelona will replace the logo of new sponsor Spotify with the insignia of the Grammy-winning singer, which is in the shape of a silhouette of an owl.

“Spotify has given this privileged space on the jersey as part of the framework of the partnership with the Club,” Barcelona said in a statement released on Friday. “This is just one of the actions that both brands are putting into place to offer innovative experiences for football fans, as well as helping to reach new audiences through music,” the statement continued. “The partnership between the Club and Spotify is just one of the actions that both brands are putting into place to offer innovative experiences for football fans.”

The Catalan club has stated that in the future there would be other logo changes made to its shirts.

Run year, Barcelona and Spotify came to an agreement on a collaboration that will last for the next 12 years. As part of the deal, Spotify will have the naming rights to Camp Nou Stadium and its logo will appear on the shirts of the club’s men’s and women’s soccer teams. According to reports in the Spanish media, the value of the transaction was approximately 540 million euros (or 400 million euros).
