What Happens in the Mid-credits Sequence in Doctor Strange?
The last thing fans saw before the credits were Benedict Cumberbatch’s Strange screaming in agony. As a third eye appeared on his forehead — identical to what we had previously seen on the head of the sinister Sinister Strange variation. This scene opens with a normal-eyed Stephen sporting a stylish scarf strolling the streets of New York City.

On the street, a purple-clad woman, portrayed by none other than Charlize Theron, interrupts him. Her character is Clea, who in the comics is a future Sorcerer Supreme and Doctor Strange’s wife.
Clea does not appear pleased with Strange, who cannot possibly recognise her. She says, “You caused an intrusion, and we’re going to remedy it.” The Illuminati exposed us to the concept of incursions earlier in the film. When two universes intersect owing to multiversal interference, this results in an invasion that threatens the survival of both universes.
Clea opens a gateway to a bizarre-appearing planet and invites Strange to enter, provided he is not too frightened. He removes his scarf, which reveals itself to be his cloak. And follows her after revealing his freshly developed third eye.
Additionally, the eye has a long history in comics. It is a manifestation of the Eye of Agamotto, a pendant that Strange has always worn around his neck. Which originally contained the Time Stone. It appears that the events of Multiverse of Madness, in which our version of Strange fought the evil three-eyed variant, have enabled him to unlock the Eye.

In a battle with the heroes, he is sprayed in the face with mustard and cursed to repeatedly punch himself. A wonderful homage to Raimi fans who recall Campbell’s Ash fighting fiercely with his own possessed hand in Evil Dead II. Strange jokes will ultimately lose their power.
