Did Oso Die in FX’s Crime Drama Series ‘Snowfall’?
Franklin Saint, the protagonist of the sixth season of FX’s criminal drama series “Snowfall,” attempts to overthrow his once ally Theodore “Teddy” McDonald. Franklin has a difficult time recovering the $73 million that Teddy has stolen from him.
He makes an agreement with Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata, Teddy’s right-hand man, to overthrow the former CIA agent and get his money back. The DEA also keeps an eye on Oso and utilizes him to apprehend Teddy.
The audience must be worried about the former luchador’s destiny because he is a crucial component of the Los Angeles drug scene. Here are our opinions on the matter! BEWARE OF SPOILERS.
The DEA’s Change Might Indicate Oso’s Death
The DEA, KGB, and Franklin Saint are attempting to bring Teddy down at the start of the sixth season of the show. They all try to have Oso on their teams because he is the former CIA agent’s right-hand man.
Oso is aware that he cannot stay with Teddy indefinitely. He has to make agreements with not one but two devils because of his responsibilities to Xiamara and her two kids. He helps Franklin get his money back from his former co-conspirator and pledges to assist the DEA in apprehending Teddy with drugs so that he will be permanently imprisoned.
Oso makes these agreements in an attempt to save his life, but they ultimately wind up endangering the former luchador.
Oso takes Franklin to Teddy in the eighth episode of the sixth season. Realizing that the former luchador is betraying him, the former CIA agent is shocked to discover Oso assisting his adversary.
With the money and passport the teenage drug kingpin of the City of Angels offered him, Oso might be able to escape the nation and save Teddy’s life if Franklin murders him.
A long way from the deadly streets of Los Angeles, he might be reunited with Xiamara and her children. Franklin needs his $73 million back from Teddy, therefore he might not be able to kill him right soon.
Oso might find it more difficult to avoid dying if Teddy buys himself more time to give Franklin the money back. Teddy might even join forces with Franklin to murder Oso for betraying him. Even the young kingpin might not be able to save Oso if that is the case.
From Franklin’s perspective, he has fulfilled all of Oso’s requests. Given that their agreement is finalized in the eighth episode of the season, Franklin might put his financial gain ahead of Oso’s life.
Oso’s life might still be in danger even if the kingpin murders Teddy right immediately, particularly in light of Rubén’s assault on the DEA agents in an attempt to save the Mexican man.
Oso is not imprisoned by the DEA because they believe he will be necessary to apprehend Teddy. The authorities no longer require Oso’s assistance after he supplied the medicines to frame Teddy.
The agency may take revenge on their former ally as they also lose an informant. If so, Oso might be shot by authorities right away, perhaps before he can leave the nation to be with Xiamara again.
Oso has joined a number of organizations in the hopes that one of them may enable him to permanently escape the nation. Particularly in the instance of Rubén and the KGB, these connections might ultimately pose a threat to his life.
Oso leads Rubén to Teddy and then assaults the Cuban spy. Rubén might not be gentle to the former luchador if he survives the attack. Given that Oso’s action also puts the KGB’s intentions to apprehend Teddy in jeopardy, they might ruthlessly target Oso in retaliation. Nevertheless, Oso’s escape from death is not impossible.
Franklin might make the required preparations for Oso to flee the nation if he manages to obtain the money Teddy took from him.
