Snoop Dogg to Headline Halftime Show for Vikings vs. Lions Netflix Christmas Day Game
Netflix is giving football fans a holiday spectacle this year, announcing that Snoop Dogg will headline the halftime show for the Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions matchup on December 25. The performance, titled Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party, will stream live from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, reaching a global audience of more than 300 million Netflix members.
A West Coast Christmas Takeover
Snoop Dogg promises to bring his signature West Coast energy to the NFL’s Christmas Day celebration, delivering a mix of his biggest hits, festive flair, and appearances from special guests.
“NFL, Netflix and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy,” Snoop said in a statement. “That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”
Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria added that partnering with Snoop Dogg elevates the streamer’s growing Christmas Day football tradition. “Christmas Gameday just got a whole lot cooler,” she said, calling the collaboration the ultimate holiday gift for Netflix members.
To mark the announcement, Netflix released a promotional video narrated by funk legend George Clinton, building excitement ahead of the holiday matchup.
Netflix Expands Its NFL Christmas Tradition
Netflix continues to invest heavily in its live NFL programming. The 2025 Christmas Gameday will feature two major NFC rivalry games:
- Cowboys vs. Commanders at 1 p.m. ET
- Lions vs. Vikings at 4:30 p.m. ET
Pregame coverage will begin at 11 a.m. ET, all streaming live on Netflix. The games will also air on CBS affiliates in the participating teams’ markets and will be available on NFL+ for U.S. mobile users. Production will be handled by CBS Sports and NFL Media, with halftime programming produced in collaboration with Jesse Collins Entertainment.
Last Year’s Success Sets the Stage

Netflix’s Christmas Day football programming debuted in 2024 with a headline-making halftime show by Beyoncé, which became one of the most-watched live entertainment events of the year. The four-time Emmy-nominated performance set a high bar, and Netflix is positioning Snoop Dogg as the next major cultural moment in the growing holiday franchise.
Holiday Flair on the Field
Continuing a tradition begun in 2024, all teams playing on Christmas Day will wear holiday-inspired uniform patches, featuring the NFL shield set against two candy canes. The festive designs will appear during Week 16 and on Christmas Day.
With Snoop Dogg, two rivalry matchups, and Netflix’s massive global platform, the 2025 NFL Christmas Gameday is positioned to be one of the biggest entertainment events of the holiday season.
