Sharon Osbourne Gives Emotional First Interview After Ozzy Osbourne’s Death
Sharon Osbourne has opened up publicly for the first time since the death of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, offering a deeply emotional recounting of their final moments together. Speaking with Piers Morgan on his Uncensored YouTube show, Sharon reflected on the rock legend’s final night, his determination to perform one last time, and the legacy he leaves behind.
A Final Goodbye Filled With Love
During the hourlong interview, Sharon recalled the intimate exchange she shared with Ozzy on the night before he died on July 22, 2025.
“The night before he passed, it was like 4:30, and he said, ‘Wake up,’” Sharon remembered tearfully. “He said, ‘Kiss me,’ and then he said, ‘Hug me tight.’”
The next morning, Ozzy followed his usual routine, heading downstairs for a short workout — a ritual he’d maintained despite years of health challenges.
“He used to get up early and say, ‘I’ve got to go down and work out,’” Sharon said. “He went downstairs, worked out for about 20 minutes, and passed away.”
Sharon revealed she discovered what had happened after hearing sudden commotion in the house.
“I heard screaming and ran downstairs,” she said. “They were trying to resuscitate him, and I told them, ‘Don’t. Leave him. He’s gone.’ I knew instantly he was gone.”
A Farewell Performance and a Final Promise

Ozzy’s passing came just two weeks after his final concert, Back to the Beginning, held on July 5 in Birmingham, England — a reunion with his original Black Sabbath bandmates. The performance was announced as his last, following years of battling serious health issues, including Parkinson’s disease and spinal complications.
Doctors had warned Ozzy that performing again could prove fatal.
“They told him, ‘If you do this show, that’s it. You’re not going to get through it,’” Sharon recalled. “But he said, ‘I’m doing it. I want to do it.’”
For Ozzy, the concert was more than a farewell — it was a message to his fans.
“He just wanted it so badly — to say thank you to everyone,” Sharon said. “And I think he honestly did know that he was done. It was his time.”
A Legacy in Words and Music

In the interview, Sharon also revealed that Ozzy had been writing in journals throughout his life — capturing his thoughts, lyrics, and reflections.
“He kept a journal every day,” she said. “Some of them might get published. There’s so much of him in those pages.”
Remembering the Prince of Darkness
Ozzy Osbourne, known worldwide as the “Prince of Darkness,” rose to fame in the 1970s as the frontman of Black Sabbath, pioneering the heavy metal sound that would influence generations of artists. He later found solo success with hits like Crazy Train and No More Tears, and became a household name through the MTV reality show The Osbournes.
His death at 76 marked the end of a musical era — but as Sharon made clear, his impact endures.
“He was larger than life,” she said softly. “And now, he’s everywhere. In his music, in our memories — he’s still with us.”
