Millie Bobby Brown Admits She Had “the Biggest Crush” on ‘Stranger Things’ Co-Star Noah Schnapp

Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp are getting candid about their early friendship — and a childhood crush that fans never knew about.

In a recent joint interview with Vogue published on November 25, the longtime co-stars, both 21, reflected on their early days on the hit Netflix series and the special bond that’s grown between them since the show’s 2016 debut.

Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, recalled meeting Brown before she shaved her head for the role of Eleven in Season 1.

“I remember meeting you before you got your head shaved,” he told Brown. “I didn’t even recognize you without your hair. But I felt connected to you right away.”

Schnapp added that Brown made him feel instantly at ease.

“You were so funny and made me feel so comfortable,” said the actor, who also revealed he now serves as godfather to Brown and husband Jake Bongiovi’s baby.

That’s when Schnapp jokingly suggested that Brown was “into” him back then — prompting her to admit that he wasn’t entirely wrong.

“I did have like the biggest crush on you,” Brown confessed with a laugh. “I loved you so much. But I actually think it was really platonic. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I love him so much.’”

Schnapp, who came out as gay in 2023, also admitted that at one point he thought he might have been in love with her.

In a separate Entertainment Tonight interview earlier this month, the two reflected on the end of Stranger Things, which began streaming its fifth and final season on November 26.

When asked what they’ll miss most about the series, both actors had the same answer — each other.

Schnapp explained that his friendship with Brown mirrors the relationship he has with his real-life twin sister, Chloe.

“I feel like Millie’s kind of like my other sibling,” he said.

Brown jokingly chimed in, “I’m actually the triplet.”

The duo shared that, despite the show’s conclusion, they fully intend to maintain their friendship off-screen.

From Childhood Co-Stars to Lifelong Friends

Brown and Schnapp first joined the Stranger Things cast as preteens in 2016, quickly becoming fan favorites. Over the years, their friendship has remained one of the franchise’s sweetest real-life connections.

Their on-screen chemistry as Eleven and Will — both outsiders navigating trauma and friendship in Hawkins, Indiana — has mirrored their off-screen bond, growing stronger through the years.

With Stranger Things now entering its emotional final chapter, the pair are saying goodbye to the show that defined their childhoods but not to each other.

“We’ll always have that connection,” Brown said. “It’s forever.”
