Jennifer Lopez to Receive Equity in Entertainment Award at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Gala
Jennifer Lopez will be honored with the Equity in Entertainment Award at this year’s The Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment Breakfast Gala, recognizing her decades-long work in empowering underrepresented voices and redefining success in Hollywood. The event will take place on December 3, 2025, at The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.
Honoring Jennifer Lopez’s Impact
The announcement was made on Tuesday, November 11, confirming that Kerry Washington, the Emmy-winning actress and producer who received the same honor in 2023, will present Lopez with the award.
Created in 2016, the Equity in Entertainment Award celebrates figures who have made outstanding contributions toward amplifying diversity, inclusion, and representation in film, television, and media. Past honorees include Selena Gomez, Issa Rae, Ryan Murphy, Amy Pascal, Nina Jacobson, and Selma Blair.

The celebration coincides with the release of THR’s annual Women in Entertainment issue, which spotlights the Power 100, a list of the most influential female figures in Hollywood across business, production, and creative fields.

The publication also celebrated 34 wins at the SoCal Journalism Awards, received a Daytime Emmy nomination for its acclaimed roundtable series, and won the American Society of Magazine Editors Award for Best Cover.
The Women in Entertainment gala adds to a lineup of high-profile THR events, including the Creators A-List Dinner and the Power Business Managers Breakfast, cementing its reputation as one of the industry’s most respected voices in entertainment journalism.
