Ciara Miller Reveals She Was on Prozac While Filming Summer House Season 10: “It Made All the Difference”

Speaking with People at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Nov. 14, Miller revealed that she and her castmate Amanda Batula both started taking Prozac during filming — a change she says completely transformed her experience.

“We were on Prozac this summer,” Miller shared. “It made all the difference. So we’re excited.”

The 29-year-old reality star, who joined Summer House in season 5, said that the medication helped her find balance amid the emotional highs and lows that come with filming the Bravo series.

Batula, 34, added that the shift in mindset and energy level was noticeable:

“I was up early, we were out late,” she said, describing how she felt more present and energized throughout production.

A Season Filled with Emotion and Energy

According to Batula, season 10 will take viewers on an emotional roller coaster.

“It’s a wild ride — there’s emotion, there’s laughter, there’s anger, there’s fighting,” she teased.

Bravo gave fans a sneak peek of the upcoming season during the Summer House Always Wins panel at BravoCon, showing a jousting-themed clip that drew laughs from the crowd. The panel featured Miller, Batula, Kyle Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke, Jesse Solomon, and West Wilson.

During the discussion, Miller reflected on how Prozac positively impacted her mental well-being while filming.

“The Prozac carried me through,” she said. “I’m also looking for a Prozac partnership.”

Batula also took a moment to thank fans for supporting her openness about anxiety and mental health on the show.

“There’s no stigma behind mental health,” she told the audience, noting that fan encouragement has helped her speak more freely about her experiences.

Major Casting Changes Ahead

Season 10 of Summer House will also bring significant cast shifts. The biggest change is the departure of Paige DeSorbo, who announced in June via Instagram that she would not return after seven seasons.

Miller admitted DeSorbo’s exit left a noticeable void on set.

“It’s so sad,” she said. “Me and Amanda looked at each other and were like, ‘If I’m here, you have to be here.’”

Despite the bittersweet goodbye, Miller teased that the new cast additions bring fresh energy to the group.

“We have some great new people,” she said. “We switched up the vibe a lot — good luck getting to know them.”

Paige DeSorbo on Leaving Summer House

In a September interview with Byrdie, DeSorbo explained her decision to move on from the show after nearly a decade.

“I just had this overwhelming sense that I couldn’t go back,” she said. “I know I would’ve been doing a disservice to the show. They accept a certain level of showing up, and I couldn’t give them that.”

DeSorbo added that the decision, while daunting, marked the beginning of a new personal chapter.

“It was scary, but I’m assimilating back into society,” she said with a laugh.
