Bethenny Frankel is sharing how Meghan Markle’s ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, responded when the former Suits actress began dating Prince Harry — and it’s clear he saw the royal romance coming.

During a recent episode of The Toast podcast, the 55-year-old Real Housewives of New York City alum recalled an early encounter with Engelson, long before Markle became part of the British royal family.
“When I met him, he told me his ex was a woman from a show called Suits,” Frankel said. “I didn’t know what the show was. I didn’t know the woman.”
Months later, when photos surfaced showing Meghan Markle dating Prince Harry, Frankel reached out to Engelson.
“I texted him, ‘Is this your ex?’” she shared.
According to Frankel, Engelson confirmed that Markle was indeed the woman in question — and when she asked if he thought Meghan would “close,” referring to sealing the relationship with marriage, Engelson confidently replied:
“‘Oh, she’ll close.’”
Trevor Engelson Predicted Meghan’s Future
Engelson’s prediction proved spot-on. Markle and Prince Harry went public with their relationship in 2016, got engaged in November 2017, and married the following May in a globally televised royal ceremony.
Frankel recalled that conversation on The Toast, adding with a laugh, “I don’t want to get into more about that, but he was like, ‘She’ll close.’”
