Katherine Schwarzenegger Says She’d Leave Hollywood Under One Heartwarming Condition
Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt is opening up about her life priorities — and why staying close to her family could one day mean leaving Hollywood behind. In a recent interview, the 35-year-old author and philanthropist shared that she’d be willing to move away from Los Angeles if it meant keeping her loved ones together.
Katherine Schwarzenegger’s one condition for leaving Hollywood
During a candid conversation with Fox News Digital on November 5, 2025, Schwarzenegger revealed that her decision to leave Hollywood would come down to one simple condition — her family’s willingness to move together.
“I can see myself moving anywhere that my mother, father and my siblings would also move with my husband and I and my children,” she said. “So wherever that is, we can have a team huddle and all decide collectively where we’d like to go.”
The daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Katherine made it clear that her family is her foundation. Though she loves Los Angeles, her priorities lie in maintaining a close-knit environment for her children and extended family.
“I’d like to go anywhere where we can just be around a lot of animals, me personally,” she added with a laugh. “But I feel like I can get that fix sprinkled in with having my home base be around my family.”
Why family means everything to Katherine Schwarzenegger

Schwarzenegger, who shares three children with Chris Pratt, emphasized that nothing is more important than staying connected to her parents and siblings.
“There’s nothing that is more important to me than being in close proximity to my parents and to my siblings,” she said. “And to be able to have that for our children is such a huge blessing and a gift. A gift that I can’t get anywhere else.”
Katherine and Pratt, 46, are parents to Lyla (5), Eloise (3), and Ford, who will turn one on November 8. Pratt also shares his 13-year-old son Jack with his ex-wife, actress Anna Faris.
The couple, known for keeping their private life relatively low-key, has often spoken about their focus on family, faith, and raising their children with strong values.
Chris Pratt’s role as a supportive partner
Before discussing her potential move out of Hollywood, Katherine also spoke with Parents Magazine about the importance of teamwork in her marriage.
“Having a partner that you can openly communicate with and share your questions and your concerns about things and your journey through parenthood is a really important part of it,” she explained.
She praised Pratt for being her “biggest supporter,” saying their shared goal is to raise kind, grounded children.
“Keeping in mind that you’re on the same team and that your goal is that you both want to raise really good human beings is a really important thing in your parenting journey,” Katherine shared. “It’s something that’s been really important for me and for my husband — to have that understanding of being teammates in this.”
Lessons from her mother, Maria Shriver

In addition to her husband’s support, Katherine credits her mother, Maria Shriver, for teaching her valuable life lessons — especially about confidence and open communication.
“A lot of us can get stuck in negative self-talk and that doesn’t do anything positive for our confidence,” she said. “The great gift that my mom gave to us kids from the beginning was always an open line of communication that was judgment-free and criticism-free.”
She added that this parenting style has inspired her own approach as a mother of three.
“That allowed us to be able to talk to our mom about anything and everything. That was a huge gift that, as a mother, I really hope to be able to give to my kids.”
A grounded life beyond Hollywood
Despite her connection to the entertainment industry — and her marriage to one of Hollywood’s biggest stars — Katherine Schwarzenegger has made it clear that fame and red carpets are not her focus. For her, home is wherever family gathers.
As she put it best, life isn’t about the spotlight, but about love, family, and faith.
“Wherever my family is, that’s where I’d like to be,” she said — a sentiment that beautifully sums up her grounded approach to success and happiness.
