Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds Take “a Christmas Carol” to New Holiday Heights in the “Spirited” Trailer?

Apple Original Films has released a brand new teaser video for the upcoming Christmas musical comedy Spirited, starring Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, and Octavia Spencer. The film is produced by Apple. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on November 11, 2022, roughly one month prior to the Christmas holiday. On November 18, a week later, it will become accessible to stream on Apple TV+.

The classic Christmas tale “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens is completely retold and reimagined in the film Spirited. Will Ferrell plays the Ghost of Christmas Present, a character that reflects on his past and serves as an alternative to the modern-day version of Scrooge that does exist.

In the tale, on the evening of Christmas Eve, the spirit attempts, as he does every year, to redeem a wicked soul by doing what he does. Clint Briggs is the character that Ryan Reynolds plays in this production. When Briggs manipulates the festive ghost into reflecting on his own history and reevaluating his place in the world, what begins as an ordinary job quickly becomes into something else entirely.

The 91-second teaser provides a sneak peek at some of the visuals that will be available to us as we investigate the origins of the figure that has come to symbolize Christmas for such a long time. Sunita Mani, Patrick Page, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley, and Jen Tullock will also have roles in the upcoming Christmas comedy picture alongside Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, and Octavia Spencer.

Additionally, production numbers for the film will be choreographed by Chloe Arnold (The Late Late Show with James Corden), and new songs will be written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul of La La Land, who won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for their work on La La Land. The movie was directed by Sean Anders (Daddy’s Home), who also contributed to the writing of the script for the film.

Together with John Morris, he penned the script. Spirited is also produced by Gloria Sanchez Productions, Two Grown Men, David Koplan and George Dewey of Maximum Effort Productions, Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum of Maximum Effort Productions, and Koplan and Dewey of Maximum Effort Productions. All of these production companies are led by David Koplan and George Dewey. The roles of executive producers on the show will also be filled by Paul and Pasek, in addition to Diana Pokorny.
