Why is Kai in Jail? A Controversial Livestream Experiment

Why is Kai in Jail? The controversial Twitch streamer Kai Cenat said in a recent video call that he would be “going to jail for 7 days” as part of a famous collaboration that would start on October 27 and be live-streamed.

Fans were shocked at first to learn that the Twitch partner might go to jail for a gift in August that started a riot in New York. However, Cenat quickly clarified that the news had nothing to do with the event.

In terms of followers, Kai Cenat has one of the most popular Twitch Partners. Because of this, he has worked with rappers and celebrities.

But the 21-year-old streamer has been banned and unbanned from Twitch several times for things that happened on camera, like passing out in January 2023 from eating too many marijuana edibles, which is against Twitch’s rules against certain drugs.

People still have strong opinions about Kai Cenat, and a new video has added to his growing list of shocking moments.

Why is Kai in Jail?

Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian rapper, singer, and songwriter who had earlier supported Cenat during his Twitch ban in April 2023. During an Instagram Live call with Minaj, Cenat announced that he was going to “jail for seven days” and said it was something he had to do. People who watched were shocked and surprised by the news, and they said so in the stream talk.

But Cenat quickly denied that the jail statement was about the riot in New York. Soon after, Kai Cenat wrote on social media that the sudden news was related to a star live stream called “7 Days In,” where he would be performing with acts like YourRage and Offset.

All of the people involved will spend seven days in jail, where cameras will be watching them the whole time. The event is set to start on Kai Cenat’s Twitch feed on Friday, October 27, at 6:00 PM Eastern.

But the rest of the call with Minaj did not go well for Cenat. Cenat got a stern telling off when he was caught eating loudly, and Minaj hung up on him soon after. The quick breakup didn’t bother Cenat, though, because he was still hopeful that he would be able to talk to the Queen of Rap again someday.

It used to be that Cenat had the most subscribers on Twitch, but after the New York riots, someone else took that spot. However, since the partnership is coming up soon, it’s not clear what Cenat will do next.
