White House Plumbers Season 1 Release Date: Uncovering the Underbelly of American Politics!
White House Plumbers Season 1 Release Date: The upcoming HBO and Sky Atlantic series White House Plumbers concentrates on the 1972 break-in of the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate Hotel, which led to the resignation of President Nixon.
While other dramas and films about Watergate have focused on Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward of The Washington Post and the subsequent political repercussions, this one focuses on the men who carried out the burglary, known as “The White House Plumbers.”
G. Gordon Liddy, portrayed by Justin Theroux, is a lawyer and former FBI agent assigned to the White House Special Investigations unit known as The White House Plumbers. Woody Harrelson portrays his colleague, retired CIA officer E. Howard Hunt, who orchestrated the burglary with Liddy. Judy Greer and Lena Headey portray their wives.
According to series director David Mandel, burglary is the introductory scene in the majority of Watergate films. “You see flashes of the break-in, and then you see individuals in the Oval Office, Nixon, and The Washington Post reporters. This is a limited series that focuses solely on burglary.
Before the burglary, we’ll meet these men, and then we’ll observe the effects of the crime on their lives. This is the story that, to some extent, none of the others bothered to tell.”
