Bleach, the younger sibling of The Big Three, has made a comeback to reclaim its position as a shonen legend. Bleach has risen from the ashes. The action, fantasy, and supernatural anime Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Episode 1 is the first episode of Bleach’s final arc. It was directed by Tomohisa Taguchi and is based on an original manga written by Tite Kubo. There are several names for this episode, including Bleach: The Young Bloods Episode 1 and Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen Episode 1.
The events of the series take place in a world where a group of guardians known as “Soul-Reapers” assist deceased souls in their transition into the afterlife. They are their only line of defence against the many other terrible elements of souls, such as corrupted hollows, powerful Arrancars, and malicious Soul Reapers who are attempting to upset the natural order of the world.
In reference to the series Balance, the most recent season focuses on the Quincies, who are the Soul Reapers‘ natural foe, and the war that they are waging against the entire soul civilization.
During Bleach: The Thousand Year Blood War, everyone’s favourite substitute Soul-reaper, Ichigo Kurosaki, as well as all of his comrades and the entirety of the Soul Reaper force from the Soul Society, go up against the Quincy King. It has been prophesied that he will be the one to end the conflict between the two opposing forces and eradicate the reapers from existence in this universe for all time.
