The episode noted that she bludgeoned her pet hamster to death with a flashlight when she was six years old, demonstrating her “violent” tendencies from an early age.
The following year, according to the show, Aneska killed a number of baby birds by squeezing them to death with her own hands. Her parents were understandably concerned about her future because such behavior is practically unheard of in a young child.
No amount of medication or treatment seemed to change Aneska’s attitude, despite the fact that the doctor who examined her MRI on the show suggested that she might have serious Bipolar Disorder or Sensory Dysregulation Disorder.
Instead, Melanie said her daughter started to steal and lie, and she grew much more violent over time. The mother said, “She doesn’t respect authority, she steals, and she lies.” She even asserted that her daughter was frequently caught physically abusing her brothers and would resort to violence at the drop of a hat.
