Many people were happy when World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery came out because it changed the world that players have loved for 20 years.
After the first phase went well, Blizzard is planning to release the second phase soon. It will include a lot of new changes for players up to Level 40.
People have said that the WoW SoD season would last longer than a month but not more than three months. Since Phase One came out on November 30, 2023, that plan seems to just about work.

A Look At Phase Two
Each Phase of WoW SoD will bring a lot of changes to the vanilla WoW world that add or change a lot of material.
Some things about Phase Two are known for sure, but players are still looking for more information about Runes and other content that will be added in the next phase. For example, they want to know how useful BFD will be while leveling up.
For now, we know that the new things in WoW SoD are:
- Maximum level cap of 40
- Mount training and Mount purchase cost reduction (to around 40 Gold for both in total)
- An unknown number of new Runes for new equipment slots, with new Discovery methods
- A reimagined 10-man Raid version of Gnomeregan
- Some form of PvP-focused zone-wide event in Stranglethorn Vale
- Profession Cap raised to 225 (not Master-level, as would normally be available at lvl 40)
When the next Phase comes around, Blizzard and the WoW SoD team will almost certainly go into more detail about what to expect in the next part of this trip.

When And How To Get WoW SoD Phase Two
The next season of World of Warcraft Classic will start on February 8, 2024, everywhere. But it’s not really clear what time of day it is.
Most of the time, Blizzard releases big updates on Tuesday mornings with the weekly server restart. However, new Phases seem to come out on Thursdays instead.
Phase One came out on November 30, 2023, around 1 p.m. PST/4 p.m. EST, but there were delays because of computer problems.
If Phase Two launches at the same time as Phase One, then the exact date and time for the WoW SoD start will be February 8, 2024, at about 1 p.m. PST.
It should be a few months before Phase Three comes out, which has a level cap of 50. WoW, SoD’s own plan says that Phase Three should come in the middle to end of spring, most likely in late April or May.
