What Happened to Evanescence?
Once upon a time, Evanescence was one of the most interesting things to happen in the 2000s. The five-piece band from Little Rock, Arkansas, became well-known after their first record had hits like “Bring Me to Life” and “My Immortal.” A lot of fun moments came from this decade, and Amy Lee and Company Shirley were on almost everyone’s playlists.
Fans had a lot of hopes for the band after their first record came out in 2003. They were hoping for more work like that. Things didn’t go as planned in that way, and there were rumours that the band was getting worse. Their second album came out in 2007, but neither reviewers nor fans liked it much.
Even when their songs, style, and use of technology changed, it didn’t help their cause. Even though their records showed changes, the band stayed true to its roots until 2010.
Around this time, Amy’s vocal cords started to go crazy because of all the tours and sing-alongs at her shows. Even though she went to rehab, she could no longer sing, and her future was unclear.
What Has Happened to Evanescence Since the Reunion?
Evanescence (Are you interested to read about Muse Announce Winter 2023 Tour With Evanescence?) is still a popular band because they keep putting out new music and re-releases of some of their older songs. Fans seem to have forgotten about the singer’s problems and moved on. Amy Lee is 33 years old and has been in a healthy relationship for five years.
The other members are also doing well and seem to be having a good time so far. Fans will probably get to hear the new record in 2017, but that’s all they want. It is one of the most anticipated records right now, and fans have been waiting a long time for it.
The band’s last record came out in 2011, and now their fans can’t wait for a new one. It’s still not clear what went wrong with Evanescence, but it seems like something did.
Some people liked Evanescence because Amy Lee was in it, so when she left, they stopped liking the band’s songs. One of the main reasons why people stopped caring about what Evanescence had to give was because of this. Lee also worked on projects with her ex-husband, which made it look like they were getting along.
Why Did They Disband?
The lead singer, Amy Lee, was going through a lot at the time, which was one of the reasons why the band broke up. Even though Evanescence broke up in 2006, fans still look for new songs from the band.
Amy Lee first came back to the scene in 2007 with a solo project under her own name. Not many people were interested in it, and it was soon forgotten. After that, not much was heard about the singer until 2009 when she said she would be back, but this time with a new band.
This gets us up to date with what’s going on with Evanescence right now. Fans have been waiting for a long time and can’t wait to hear what the band has been working on lately.
The band is now called Echelon, but Amy Lee, Ben Moody, Terry Balsamo, and Tim McCord are still in it. Most fans still seem to call them Evanescence. Of course, there is a reason for that. With so many years of waiting, it makes sense that people would remember the old name and not the new one.
