Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 4 Plot

The events in Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 4 continued from the previous episode, as Snake, the leader of the guests at the Ketil farm, makes his entry, terrifying the retainers.

When Thorfinn discovers that Fox has caused him injuries, he attacks Fox and demands an explanation. After hearing what was occurring, Snake declares that they will never again bully Thorfinn or any other slaves.

Snake, though, is intrigued by Throfinn’s willingness to sacrifice his life and approaches him with his own knife.

Thorfinn recognizes Askeladd in Snake’s aura, and as the latter pulls out his knife, he kicks and prepares to fight, only to discover that his body has moved on its own. Snake departs, stating that Thorfinn wishes to live, to which Thorfinn responds, “Live and do what?”

Einar is intrigued after observing Thorfinn’s behavior, so when they are chopping down trees in the forest, he asks Thorfinn if he has ever been to battle and killed people.

Thorfinn informs Einar that he was a warrior and has slain many people and that he is no different than the invaders who murdered Einar’s mother and sister. Thorfins asks Einar if he despises him after learning that he was a warrior.

Einar has had recurring dreams about the events of his village, and the fact that Thorfinn was a warrior continues to irritate him to the point where he wants to strangle him to death. Einar is seen at one moment approaching a sleeping Thorfinn and grasping his neck with his hands.

However, Einar does not choke Thorfinn and observes that he has nightmares in which he cries and screams. Einar assists Thorfinn in awakening from his nightmare, and Thorfinn expresses gratitude and regret for having screamed all night.
