Ben Gregory, vocalist for the band, revealed in a statement that he has completed the recording of his first album under his own name as a solo artist.

The independent band, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Ben Gregory, bassist Frank Wright, and drummer Harris McMillan, came together in Hampshire in 2013 and released their debut album, “That’s Your Lot,” on the Transgressive label the following year (2017). 2019 has now come.

Gregory issued the following statement, which was shared on many social media platforms: “This news has been coming for a long time, but I want it to be cheerful, not sad.

“Blaenavon, the world-famous rock band that consisted of the three of us, has officially called it quits,” The band was the greatest thing that ever existed, and I will always treasure the ridiculous memories that it gave me, but now we all have fascinating new stuff.

Additionally, according to the frontman, Wright and McMillan are currently playing folk-pop with the band Organ Morgan, while Gregory has finished recording his debut album as a solo artist.

After stating his conclusion, he said, “The music industry is a terrible stain on the underside of art,” and he added, “and with that stated, I can’t wait to get back to work.”

“The band’s debut album, “That’s Your Lot,” spanned all corners of the indie spectrum, choosing as a basis notions such as Bombay Bicycle Club and The Maccabees, whose debut marked their appearance,” states the review of Blaenavon’s second album, “Everything That Makes You Happy.” is an independent band appealing to a younger age.

In “Everything That Makes You Happy,” the band takes these fundamentals and demonstrates how it broadens its horizons while yet maintaining its signature sound. The slow-developing ballad “Quiet In Your Heart, Alone In Love” is the most moving thing they’ve ever composed, and it’s capped off by a majestic string arrangement. “Catatonic Skinbag” is the biggest straight single they’ve ever written, while “Quiet In Your Heart, Alone In Love” is the biggest straight single they’ve ever written.
