Fans have been intrigued about Travis Barker’s net worth and how it compares to Kourtney Kardashian’s since he started dating a Kardashian. Although she has her fortune, it doesn’t necessarily indicate that she’s outpacing Travis Barker in terms of wealth.
In case you missed it, Travis proposed to Khloé Kardashian in October of that year. After only a year of dating, the Blink-182 drummer proposed to the Poosh founder on a romantic beach date in Montecito, California, while the couple was on a romantic date.
Early Years and Schooling
When Travis Landon Barker was born in Fontana, Calif., on November 14, 1975, he became Travis Barker. Dad Randy was a mechanic, while his mother Gloria was a babysitter. He also had two older sisters. Barker’s mother got him a drum set when he was four years old, and the following year he began taking lessons. In high school, Travis also took trumpet classes and learned to play the piano and briefly joined a choir. For him, playing the drums was more important than becoming a professional surfer or skateboarder.
To make matters worse, just a few days before Barker was about to start high school, Barker’s mother passed away from Sjögren syndrome. Travis was a self-described stoner while attending Fontana High School, where he played the drums in the marching band and jazz ensembles.
The Aquabats, a ska-punk band created by his former Feeble bandmate Chad Larson in 1996, was Barker’s third band after Snot and Feeble. Barker filled in for Blink-182’s departing drummer and eventually became the band’s official drummer in 1998 after recording one album with the Aquabats and touring with them.
When Barker’s debut Blink-182 album, “Enema of the State,” was released in June 1999, “All the Small Things,” “What’s My Age Again?” and “Adams Song” became hits, and the band soared to popularity. This song topped the Modern Rock Tracks list and the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as well as won an MTV Video Music Award in 2000 for its video, “All the Small Things” Travis had to miss numerous gigs on the band’s 1999 stadium tour because of a fractured finger. Barker has collaborated with Blink-182 on five more albums: “Take Off Your Pants and Jacket,” “Blink-182,” “Neighborhoods,” “California,” and “Nine” were all released between 2001 and 2019.
He played on four Transplants albums starting in 2002 when Tim Armstrong of Rancid created the rock/rap supergroup. Barker has released albums with +44, TRV$D JAM, Box Car Racer, Expensive Taste, Goldfinger, Yelawolf, and several other bands, including “Give the Drummer Some.”
With his apparel brand in 1999 and his record label in 2004, Barker has built a successful career for himself in the music industry. Since the release of his book “Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death and Drums… Drums… Drumming,” he has starred in numerous films and television shows, including “American Pie,” ‘The Simpsons,’ and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.”
Experiencing Life on My Own
In 2001, Travis and Melissa Kennedy were married for nine months before their marriage ended in divorce. Exactly one year after the birth of their son Landon, he wed former Miss USA Shanna Moakler. Both Moakler and Oscar De La Hoya have daughters from past relationships. Moakler’s daughter Alabama was born in December 2005. The Barkers appeared in 16 episodes of the reality show “Meet the Barkers” in 2005 and 2006. It was in 2008 that Barker and Moakler ended their marriage.
Police were called to the residence of Travis and Shanna in 2014, and both were taken into custody.
Accused of threatening to kill Moakler, Barker allegedly threatened to persuade her partner to physically abuse Travis. His $19,000-a-month child support was cut to $2,900 in February 2016 after Travis filed legal papers, stating that his annual income had fallen from roughly $2 million to around $600,000. His net worth was estimated at $40 million in the filing.

Following his breakup with Moakler, Barker became hooked on opioids, but he was able to kick the habit after his plane crash. To help speed up his recovery, he had to consume meat while in the hospital, which he says made him more health-conscious once he was released. He had been a vegetarian since his teenage years but had to eat meat to help speed up his recovery.
Travis started dating Kourtney Kardashian in January 2021. In October 2021, they announced their engagement.
Crash of a plane
When Travis, Adam Goldstein (aka DJ AM), Che Still, and Chris Baker were aboard a private plane departing Columbia Metropolitan Airport in South Carolina on September 19, 2008, the plane crashed and was destroyed. Barker and Goldstein were rushed to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia, where Barker was pronounced dead and Goldstein was in critical condition. Barker underwent 27 surgeries and skin grafts during his four-month stay in burn centres and hospitals, despite having burns covering more than 65 per cent of his body.
Over a decade after the tragedy, Travis was unable to board a plane. Consequently, anytime Blink-182 performed outside of the United States, he would need to be replaced. On April 13, 2021, thirteen years after the disaster, he flew with Kourtney Kardashian for the first time.
Investing in Property
Barker purchased a four-bedroom house in Cheviot Hills, Los Angeles, for $4 million in 2014. In 2017 he sold it for a whopping $4.5 million.
Barker paid $2.8 million for a Calabasas, California, mansion in 2017. In 2019, he listed it for rent, asking for $27,500 a month. In addition to his $9.5 million Calabasas mansion purchased in 2007, Travis also bought a $1.5 million Bel Air home in 2010, a $1.3 million Rancho Cucamonga home in 2010, and a $480,000 Lake Elsinore tract house in 2004 for $480,000.
