The Resident Season 5: Plot, Cast, Production and Where to Watch?

The first episode of the medical drama television series The Resident was shown on the Fox Broadcasting Company on January 21, 2018, as a mid-season replacement during the 2017–18 television season. The series hails from the United States of America. The television series, which is based on the novel Unaccountable written by Marty Makary and tells the story of the lives and jobs of the staff members of Chastain Park Memorial Hospital, delves into the administrative procedures that are common in the healthcare sector.

The series was developed by Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore, and Roshan Sethi, and in 2017, Showtime sold it to Fox, who then bought it. In May of 2017, Fox gave the concept the green light to become a series and ordered a season with 14 episodes. The first episode of the series served as a warm-up for the NFC Championship Game between the Vikings and the Eagles. The series was given the green light for a fourth season in May 2020, and it began airing on January 12, 2021. There were a total of 14 episodes in this season. The television show was given the go light for a fifth season in May 2021, and it began airing on September 21, 2021.

What Does “the Resident” Have for a Storyline? (Plot)

The Chastain Memorial Hospital staff are the subjects of the medical drama “The Resident,” with a special focus on the hospital’s titular resident, Dr Conrad Hawkins. The professional and medical problems that the group must overcome are a primary emphasis of the storylines, but so are the characters’ personal lives.

The fourth season was given several challenging tasks to complete. The first episode of season four featured the early days of the epidemic for our main characters. This came after the show was forced to cut its third season short due to the virus. On the other hand, the beginning of the season also brought a pleasant moment with it in the form of the wedding of Conrad and Nicolette. Following on from that, Nicolette finding out she was pregnant and having a challenging pregnancy was a recurring theme throughout the season.
