Season four of The Mandalorian is supposedly in the works, yet Star Wars fans are skeptical considering how conclusive the season three conclusion seemed.
The latest season of the Disney+ show finished on April 19, and the episode concluded the series’ storylines to date. However, showrunner Jon Favreau already indicated that season four would begin in May 2022.
Favreau predicted further crossovers in Din Djarin and Grogu’s future when he disclosed the news. “As Dave [Filoni]’s doing Ahsoka, it’s very much informing the writing that I’m doing for season four,” he revealed.
With Season 3 tying up all loose ends, this makes more sense in light of the announcement that Filoni would helm a new Star Wars film that will serve as a summation of all the storylines from this era.
Will The Mandalorian Return for a Fourth Season?
Although Disney Plus has not officially announced it, showrunner Jon Favreau said last year that he was already working on season 4 of the series prior to the release of season 3. He said that Dave Filoni’s writing for Ahsoka, which will be released this year, influenced what he was working on.
“With television, we’re very lucky that we don’t have to rush things through into an hour-and-a-half, two hours,” the writer told CinemaBlend. We get to share stories gradually.
“Now that Dave [Filoni] is doing Ahsoka, it’s very much informing the writing that I’m doing for [The Mandalorian] season 4.” It becomes more exact, to put it mildly.” The two series, together with Skeleton Crew, are planned to lead to a feature-length picture directed by Dave Filoni.
The Mandalorian Season 4 Potential Release Date
Season four of The Mandalorian does not yet have a verified premiere date, despite the fact that we know it’s coming. We can only confirm that it will be released on Disney+ like previous seasons and that it will likely consist of eight episodes.
Typically, we would anticipate a new season to premiere later in the year following the premieres of the first season in November 2019 and the second season in October 2020. However, season three did not debut until March 2023 due to delays, and it appears that season four will also be delayed.
Season 4 Plot Gossip for The Mandalorian
Season 4 of The Mandalorian will most likely follow Din and his apprentice Grogu on numerous missions in the Outer Rim as the youngling strives to obtain his legitimate Mandalorian title. We anticipate many more Star Wars bounty-hunting adventures for our favorite pair.
Meanwhile, Bo-Katan and her Mandalorian followers strive to reconstruct their planet and community. Mandalore was assumed to be abandoned after it was destroyed, but a tribe of survivors has kept the planet running as best they can. Bo-Katan may now lead her people into a new era, with the whole civilization unified behind her.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 8: When Will It Be Available To Watch?
As the sci-fi series progresses and we get closer to Filoni’s next Star Wars film, we’ll certainly see a few famous characters make an appearance, such as Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, and maybe Jude Law’s character from Skeleton Crew, as we build up to that big crossover. If we’re lucky, another strange voyage to Coruscant will occur.

All of our favorite heroes, including Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin, Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan, and Baby Yoda, will return in the Mandalorian season 4 cast. Bo-Katan’s narrative has grown crucial to The Mandalorian, and Greef Karga and The Armorer are usually around, so we anticipate them to return for more action.
