The official plot summary for Season 4 was published in June of 2022, and it read as follows: “In the fourth season’s ten episodes, tech guru Lukas Matsson gets closer and closer to purchasing the media conglomerate Waystar Royco.
“As the Roys imagine what their life would be like once the sale is finalized, they experience existential turmoil and familial discord as a result of the impending sale.”
“A power struggle ensues as the family considers a future in which their cultural and political influence will be drastically diminished.”
In spite of the brevity of the synopsis, it is clear that the fourth season of Succession will include nothing but all-out warfare between the family and business section.
By selling out his family and agreeing to the purchase of Waystar Royco, Logan will lose a substantial portion of his motivation. What will he do alternatively? His devious plan to sell Waystar to Lukas Matsson may not be the Hail Mary he believed it to be.
What will happen to Shiv, Roman, and Kendall now that they have no one but themselves to help them through this difficult time?
All of the major players have been let down by their closest partners. Tom, her battered husband, has finally bitten back and abandoned her with Shiv, though he is unaware that she knows this. We are confident that she will not tolerate this betrayal quietly…
Gerri, the only person Roman seemed to have confided in, has turned her back on him for her own benefit. Then there is Kendall, whose mental health is barely hanging on by a thread.
