Street Fighter 6 Release Date: Street Fighter is returning officially with Street Fighter 6. Ryu, Chun-Li, and new and old allies will take centre stage, and the classic fighting game’s graphics will sport an entirely new appearance. It’s also perfect timing, as the Street Fighter franchise recently turned 35 and is poised for a comeback (Street Fighter 5 was released more than six years ago in 2016).
Are you eager to learn more? Wondering if Street Fighter 6 will be released on your preferred gaming platform? Capcom is planning to release more information between now and the game’s release. Here is everything we know and what you can expect in the interim.
Street Fighter 6
The initial Street Fighter 6 beta ran from October 7 to 10, while the second beta ran from December 16 to 19. The roster was restricted to only eight characters, with Ken being the most recent addition.
The most significant change in the second beta is the option to reduce input latency for players using 120Hz displays, though Capcom says this option should also affect 60Hz users. In all other respects, the stage and roster selection remains unchanged.
In the coming weeks, Capcom may disclose the dates for a third beta phase, which we fully expect to occur before the game’s release in June.
There are rumours that a new Street Fighter 6 beta will be released shortly; the announcement is likely to occur during the April 20 Street Fighter 6 showcase. We anticipate the beta to include a small number of new characters, such as Cammy, Manon, and Zangief, but it is improbable that the entire cast will be playable.

Platforms
The next instalment in this series will no longer be console-exclusive, unlike Street Fighter 5. Street Fighter 6 will launch simultaneously on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, which is excellent news for Xbox players who missed out on the previous entry.
Capcom has announced that a Street Fighter 6 Showcase will be hosted on YouTube on April 20 at 3 pm PT / 6 pm ET / 11 pm GMT. The exhibition will be presented by none other than Lil Wayne, a.k.a. Young Tunechi, a.k.a. Weezy, according to reports. The video in the revelation tweet revealed a variety of alternate costumes for a number of the characters, including a new outfit for Kimberly.

Street Fighter 6 Mode for the Global Tour
Beginning in June, the Street Fighter 6 announcement trailer debuted, showcasing various Metro City locales, such as Abigail’s Scrap Yard, the underground subway system, and a local gym populated with fighters. The World Tour mode allows players to explore Metro City as if it were an open-world game.
Your journey at Buckler Security begins with your coach Luke, who enrols you in a rudimentary training course. We also know that the hooded character prominently featured in the trailer can be customized with various outfits from the Battle Hub.
At the conclusion of the World Tour segment in the first trailer, the protagonist appears to engage in combat with a stranger, transitioning to the conventional battle view. The stranger also appears to be a custom character, as they lack the typical characteristics of an actual person. Capcom claims the World Tour mode will defy genre classifications, which could mean we’ll see side-scrolling beat ’em-up action in the Street Fighter series for the first time.
The official Capcom Twitter account has also confirmed that Street Fighter 6 takes place after Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, making it the first game in over two decades to advance the story.

Street Fighter 6 Combat Core
The Battle Hub in Street Fighter 6 is the primary area where participants interact and communicate. If you wish to compete against an acquaintance, locate a Street Fighter 6 arcade cabinet in the Battle Hub and inform your opponent of your location.
The ‘Game Center’, located within the Battle Hub, contains arcade cabinets containing Capcom mainstays such as Street Fighter Alpha 2 and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. It is unknown how many Capcom games will be playable, but it appears that these arcade titles will not be limited to Street Fighter games.
Final Fight appears to be one of the activities offered at the Game Center, which is also located in Metro City. A recent trailer for Street Fighter 6 disclosed that Street Fighter 2 will be playable on the Game Center.
There is also the ‘Event Counter’, a tournament-specific location. Additionally, we caught a glimpse of the Body Shop, which appears to be an in-game store where players can purchase apparel for their avatars.
Modern Street Fighter 6 Control Layout
Modern Control Type, a first for the mainline series, makes it easy to play Street Fighter without having to master combos and special moves. Modern control schemes reduce the number of buttons required to execute a special move to a single button.
Using Ryu as an example, players can execute all four of their special techniques by pressing a single button in conjunction with a direction input. The same applies to Super Arts, except you must simultaneously press two controls. Regarding combos, players can execute four assisted combos by holding a modifier and pressing a button.
However, there are disadvantages to this control system. When using the modern control type, players will not have access to a character’s full arsenal of weapons, and it is currently unknown how this system functions with charge characters. It is unlikely that a player using this novel control scheme will be able to compete with expert players using traditional controls.
