Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 2 debuted on Blu-ray and DVD on July 12, 2021. All 10 episodes from Season 2 were released, along with more than an hour of extra content like animatics, deleted scenes, and easter eggs.

Season 2 takes the series to new heights by expanding on many of the first season’s successes. Boimler is now a member of the U.S.S. Titan’s crew, launching a brand-new voyage with numerous references and cameos for Trek fans.
Season 2 also includes special visitors Jonathan Frakes and Lycia Naff from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Jeffrey Combs from Deep Space Nine.

The second featurette, titled “Lower Decktionary: Season Two,” is comprised of interviews with the cast and personnel of the series discussing the painstaking process of writing the second season’s character arcs.
Also included are audio commentaries for episodes 2, 5, 7, and 9, with McMahan, Newsome, Quaid, Frakes, and others providing commentary. Each episode also received an animatic and a rundown of all Easter eggs, allowing fans to discover every hidden reference.
